One of our succulents has tiny pink flowers blooming. Having no idea how long these flowers will last, or what will happen to them, I grabbed my camera and got to work taking their portrait.

I am really enjoying being an amateur flower gardener. I like having ownership over the subject matter of my artwork. I enjoy the feeling of photographing these “babies” and having this snap shot of time. I just started taking nature photography seriously this past spring, but I know I will really cherish these photos when it’s cold and gray this winter.
